If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part, he is evil spoken of, but on your part, he is glorified. 1 Peter 4:14
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
It is made easier for those walking with Yeshua when there is an understanding of the possible hardships, trials tribulations and temptations which lay ahead as we follow in His footsteps. And if the way of the righteous is so hard, then how hard shall it be for the ungodly sinner, who walks in sin with delight, thinking we the righteous are fools for all our pains!
While on the mount of Olives, some 2000+ years, Yeshua laid it on the line, he didn’t pull any punches, when giving the description of the future walk his disciples were about to encounter. When we take the time to discern his warnings to those disciples, it becomes clear several current events were being revealed and described. In Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Yeshua; and shall deceive many.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Thank you, Father, in heaven for the knowledge to recognize all the gifts, which You have bestowed into our relationship with you. I pray Lord for all to be guided through the Holy Spirit to learn the complete use of their discernment. Bring into our lives Father the strength to accept your teachings as food for our spirit and soul to nurture our growth. Open our minds to receive our personal reviews once we complete our own assessments, so we might with humbleness bring before your throne those areas of our walk needing your guidance, correction, forgiveness and strengthening. In all things Father, we pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen, and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
There is no comfort in sufferings when we bring them upon ourselves, through our own sin and folly. It is true the righteous are scarcely saved; even those who endeavour to walk upright in the ways of God. This does not mean that the purpose and performance of God are uncertain, however, it describes the great difficulties and hard encounters of the many temptations and tribulations yet encountered. The only way to keep the soul well, will be, commit it to God by prayer, and patient perseverance in well-doing. Our rejoicing reveals God will overrule all to the final advantage of the believer.
Yeshua laid before His disciples a warning of what they were about to encounter and what we will encounter as part of our walk’s as well. “And all of you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: There shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and all of you shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. Then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. False prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. See that all of you be not troubled.” “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
Yeshua then gives the disciples a glimpse into our time frame which he then identifies what affects this all is going to have on our walks to Eternity. “All these are the beginning of sorrows. And because iniquity shall abound, the love (o. agape) of many shall wax cold. But asserts to us, “ See that all of you be not troubled.“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
I am quoting this from 1Peter 3:15 – 17 as I believe it is the most appropriate closing prayer. Heavenly Father I petition you to hear and grant this as we lay it before your throne. “We ask Father for your Sanctification in our hearts: fill us with your words that we be ready always to give an answer to every man who asketh for a reason of the hope which is in us, with meekness and fear, having a good conscience. Whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, may be ashamed who falsely accuse our good conversation in Yeshua. For it is better if the will of God be so, that we suffer for well doing than for evil doing.” This we pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen and, Amen.
CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert
In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, The apostle gives an account of the method God took to keep him humble and to prevent his being lifted up above measure, on account of the visions and revelations he had. We are not told what this thorn in the flesh was, whether some great trouble or some great temptation. But God often brings this good out of evil, that the reproaches of our enemies help to hide pride from us. If God loves us, he will keep us from being exalted above measure; and spiritual burdens are ordered to cure spiritual pride. This thorn in the flesh is said to be a messenger of Satan which he sent for evil, but God designed it and overruled it for good.
Prayer is a salve for every sore, a remedy for every malady; and when we are afflicted with thorns in the flesh, we should give ourselves to prayer. If an answer is not given to the first prayer, nor to the second, we are to continue praying. Troubles are sent to teach us to pray; and are continued, to teach us to continue instant in prayer.
Though God accepts the prayer of faith, yet he does not always give what is asked for: as he sometimes grants in wrath, so he sometimes denies in love. When God does not take away our troubles and temptations, yet, if he gives grace enough for us, we have no reason to complain.
Grace signifies the good-will of God towards us, and that is enough to enlighten and enliven us, sufficient to strengthen and comfort in all afflictions and distresses. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Thus his grace is manifested and magnified. When we are weak in ourselves, then we are strong in the grace of our Lord Yeshua; when we feel that we are weak in ourselves, then we go to Yeshua, receive strength from him, and enjoy most the supplies of Divine strength and grace.
Remember, these messages are given by a humble servant obedient unto our Lord Yeshua as a Watchman. This I pray for all. ”Our Heavenly Father brings us to the river which bringeth forth fruit so we may partake of its sustenance and be filled spiritually with nurturing wisdom, and humble dedication in service to Yeshua.““Blessings to All.” As you go forward in peace, knowledge, and strength.
