But he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself, but he that prophesies edifies the church. 1Corinthians 14:3-4

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

Power to become the children of God is to be valued more than a power to work JESUS & FOLLOWERSmiracles for we read of those who did in Yeshua’s name cast out devils, as Judas did, and yet will be disowned by Christ in the great day. But they whose names are written in heaven shall never perish they are Christ’s sheep, to whom he will give eternal life. Saving graces are more to be rejoiced in than spiritual gifts. Holy love is a more excellent way than speaking with tongues.

All believers are through grace, entitled to the inheritance of sons, and have received the adoption of sons, and the Spirit of adoption, which is the earnest of that inheritance and so are enrolled among his family now this is a matter of joy, greater joy than casting out devils.

Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for previewing the real depth of our faith. I 889111d36913a322a5fa5bf5e22ea62d1540608077418518020.jpgpetition you, Father, for wisdom to be upon all those reading this article, to deepen their discernment and understanding. Bring unto them a spirit of calm that any decision they are about to make in respect to their spiritual walk with you Lord would be an informed one void of emotions and worldly desires. I ask Lord you would remove any cords, causing confusion and binding their minds. So, they might receive all and any information the Holy Spirit, will reveal to be used as the foundation of their future spiritual decisions as they continue their journey. I pray this in your name in the name of Yeshua AMEN and AMEN.

While others thought meanly and spoke scornfully of the Apostle Paul, he had profound thoughts and spoke humbly of himself. We should be aware of our own infirmities, and think humbly of ourselves, even when men reproach us. The work 7f84c5612a04464f8e79e18722b23ec36808609835317657943.jpgof the ministry is a spiritual warfare with spiritual enemies, and for spiritual purposes. Outward force is not the method of the gospel, but strong persuasions, by the power of truth and the meekness of wisdom. Conscience is accountable to God only; and people must be persuaded to God and their duty, not driven by force. Thus the weapons of our warfare are potent; the evidence of truth is convincing. What opposition is made against the gospel, by the powers of sin and Satan in the hearts of men! But observe the conquest the word of God gains. The appointed means, however feeble they appear to some, will be mighty through God. And the preaching of the cross, by men of faith and prayer, has always been fatal to idolatry, impiety, and wickedness. We must not only do no hurt to any but do what good we can to all. Those who are the elect of God, holy and beloved, ought to be lowly and compassionate towards all.

The following is a quoted teaching taken from a weekly email on the Gospels from the Torah Club. Where serious disciples want to get past shallow teaching, understand their Bibles, and know Yeshua better. “The Torah Club is where disciples learn to master the Bible from a historical Jewish perspective and apply its timeless truths to their lives.”

The Master said that unless the righteousness of His disciples exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, they will not enter the Messianic Era ( Matthew 5:20). The conventional stereotype assumes that the Pharisees and teachers of the Torah were merely hypocrites pretending to be pious. Under that assumption, the righteousness of the Pharisees and scribes was only false piety which any sincere-hearted person might easily exceed. Is the stereotype correct?

Yeshua frequently collided with the Pharisees regarding matters of interpretation, and He soundly denounced ostentatious shows of religious snobbery. In this case, Yeshua was not denigrating the Pharisees; He held them up as a high model which He asked His disciples to transcend.”

The Pharisees and the teachers of the Torah observed the Torah scrupulously. How could the Master have asked His disciples to reach a level of righteousness higher than theirs? When the disciples heard this, their hearts must have sunk. The 2b2485d1070fec518de4a8688c93c5551667782264035232627.jpg“righteousness” of the scribes and Pharisees to which the Master referred is not exoneration and justification in the final judgment. Instead, it refers to the sum of one’s good deeds, from giving charity to visiting the sick to self-sacrifice to Torah observance.

The Master went on to explain exactly what He meant with the rest of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). He takes a well-known commandment such as “do not murder” or “do not commit adultery,” and He reveals the deepest moral and ethical core behind the commandment. He gives specific examples by internalizing the prohibition against murder with a prohibition against anger, slander, and insult. He internalizes the prohibition against adultery with a prohibition against lust. He internalizes the sanctity of marriage with a prohibition on divorce for the sake of remarriage. He internalizes the prohibition on taking God’s name in vain by prohibiting oaths. Each fence around the original commandment raises the standard of righteousness higher than even normal Pharisaic practice.

Yeshua’s teachings reveal the moral, ethical intention behind the commandments and expose the internal deviancy of the heart of man. He cuts past external appearances and plants the inner meaning of the Torah deep in the heart.

It does not mean that a disciple never becomes angry with his brother or on occasion speaks words of insult like, “you fool.” Unfortunately, we do, and the Master knows that we do, but He calls us to live out a higher standard of righteousness.

I petition Lord, for the breaking and removal of the blinders from their eyes so they may see your truth. Lift them out the darkness, so they realize they are journeying to the pit of eternal damnation. Father fill your flock with wisdom and determination so they might sharpen their two-edged swords. Bring us spiritual strength that we might go forward as warriors in your name. All this I pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen and, Amen.

As before I have drawn the closing from the commentary of Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774)  “Paul had a kindness for all his fellow-labourers and, as he had found eb760523263fd190424cb5b0721c76bf275091070638750949.jpgthe benefit of their assistance, he concluded how comfortable it would be to them to have the assistance of others. Of his fellow-labourers he says, Whose names are in the book of life either they were chosen of God from all eternity, or registered and enrolled in the corporation and society to which the privilege of eternal life belongs, alluding to the custom among the Jews and Gentiles of registering the inhabitants or the freemen of the city. So we read of their names being written in heaven (Luke 10:20), not blotting his name out of the book of life (Revelation 3:5), and of those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life, Revelation 21:27.”

“Observe, There is a bTORAH 1ook of life there are names in that book and not characters and conditions only. We cannot search into that book, or know whose names are written there but we may, in a judgment of charity, conclude that those who labour in the gospel and are faithful to the interest of Yeshua and souls have their names in the book of life.”
