“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. Luke 10:19.
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
The Lord placed us in our homes for safety but as well to come to him during this time of idleness, learn the depth of our faith and relationship with Yeshua. In doing so we are shown where our strength emanates from. Through prayer and meditation, we are brought through the Holy Spirit’s food, wisdom and discernment designed for our spirit and souls.
SHARPENING OUR TWO EDGED SWORDS
“All things are in your control, heavenly Father, including our walk to eternal life with you. We ask Lord for you to reveal through the Holy Spirit how to appropriately share our gift with those trapped in the darkness of this world. We pray for Father a deep discernment and understanding of how to use your gifts to be the most effective example of reflecting your light love and compassion to them. Deepen our enthusiasm and determination to withstand the wiles of the enemy preventing us from approaching them. Fill us with determination to expel our doubts and fears. We give thanks to you Lord and pray this in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen,”
PRAYER FOR DISCERNMENT AND UNDERSTANDING
Heavenly Father, as humble children eager to learn we bow before your throne, pledging our spirit to you, Father, as a servant. We call on you Lord to fill us with discernment, so we may use the courage and integrity you have brought as the rock we stand on receiving the truth. We plead for strength to continue facing the truth about ourselves as we face our faults and shortcomings. Bring a wave of peace to our soul that we may go forward through all the turmoil facing our walk. Lift us up, Father, to see your glorious light shining through the darkness surrounding our world and lives. Lift the gloom from around us so we will know your presence at all times. Give us a dedicated spirit to recognize and help those who have fallen into the deception of emptiness and depression. Brighten our light so it might shine through all darkness sharpen our wisdom that we may cut all the cords emprisoning your fallen children in depression and the fear of loneliness. Bring to us the spirit of kinsmanship that we might lay down our lives for those lost and deceived. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen.
PRAYER FOR PRESERVATION AND COMMITTED TO YAHEWA’S CUSTODY
Matthew Henry’s commentary explains why our Lord prays as He does. “Now the first thing Christ prays for, for his disciples, is their preservation, in John 17:11-16, to which he commits them all to his Father’s custody. Keeping supposed danger, and their danger arose from the world, the world wherein they were, the evil of this he begs they might be saved from. Now observe, The request itself, Keep them from the world. There were two ways of their being delivered from the world.
1. By taking them out of it and he does not pray that they might be so delivered. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world that is, (1) “I pray not that they may be speedily removed by death” If the world will be vexatious to them, the readiest way to secure them would be to hasten them out of it to a better world, that will give them better treatment. Send chariots and horses of fire for them to fetch them to heaven Job, Elijah, Jonah, Moses, when that occurred which fretted them, prayed that they might be taken out of the world, but Christ would not pray so for his disciples, for two reasons.
Because he came to conquer, not to countenance, those intemperate heats and passions which make men impatient of life, and importunate for death. It is his will that we should take up our cross and not outrun it.”
“ Because he had work for them to do in the world, though the world was sick of them (Acts 22:22), and therefore not worthy of them (Hebrews 11:38), yet could ill spare them. In pity, therefore to this dark world, Christ would not have these lights removed out of it, but continued in it, especially for the sake of those in the world that were believing in him through their word.”
“Let not them be taken out of the world when their Master is, they must each in his own order die a martyr, but not till they have finished their testimony. Note, First, The taking of good people out of the world is a thing by no means to be desired, but rather dreaded and laid to heart, Isaiah 57:1.”
“Secondly, Though Christ loves his disciples, he does not presently send for them to heaven, as soon as they are effectually called, but leaves them for some time in this world, that they may do good and glorify God upon the earth, and be ripened for heaven. Many good people are spared to live because they can ill be spared to die.”
TREACHEROUS AND DANGEROUS TIMES
Heavenly Father, as we bow before your throne and lay our petitions before you, we plead you hear our prayers. As our days become more treacherous and dangerous, we pray Lord for your guidance. We recognize Father those who desire to harm or prevent us from doing your work. They do not accept you or your compassion, forgiveness, or love. We give praise Lord for the protection you place us under and acknowledge You alone are our helper and uphold our souls. We know Father, you will reward evil unto our enemies, cutting them off in your truth. We know Father it is You who will deliver us from all sin. This we give thanks for in the name of your Son, Yeshua, Amen, and Amen.
CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
The cause of the conflict was sin, and to be engaged against sin is to fight in a good cause, for sin is the worst enemy both to God and man. Our spiritual warfare is both honourable and necessary, for we are only defending ourselves against that which would destroy us if it should get the victory over us, we fight for ourselves, for our lives, and therefore ought to be patient and resolute. Every Believer is enlisted under Christ’s banner, to strive against sin, against sinful doctrines, sinful practices, and sinful habits and customs, both in himself and in others 2. He puts them in mind that they might have suffered more, that they had not born as much as others had not yet resisted unto blood, they had not been called to martyrdom as yet, though knew not how soon they might be.
Remember, these messages are given by a humble servant obedient to our Lord Yeshua as a Watchman. I pray for all. ”Our Heavenly Father brings us to the river which bringeth forth fruit so we may partake of its sustenance and be filled spiritually with nurturing wisdom, and humble dedication in service to Yeshua. “Blessings to All.” As you go forward in peace, knowledge, and strength.
