And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. (Genesis 6:3)

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

I am opening with a question, which I believe we all need to ask to recognize the actual value of our walk-in God’s Gracious Love and deep compassion?

I ask if any of you have even momentarily as a parent, could not find or have lost a child. Look at the feelings which transgressed through you at that moment you realized they were gone?

I experienced that feeling when my three-year-old son wandered off and was missing for three hours. We cannot know the deep feelings of our Lord towards His children but have an indication of his despair, which He expressed to Noah before the flood.

[12] And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. [13] And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. (Genesis 6:12-13) KJV

This set the stage for what the Lord had in store for those seeking to reconnect with our Father in Heaven, since the fall of Adam and Eve, which spiritually disconnected man from God and brought mortality to man.

Through God’s Grace, Love, and compassion, and His covenant with Noah (Genesis 9:14 – 17) Yeshua (Jesus Christ) was brought into the world as the doorway between us (the adopted Gentiles {Romans 8:15 – 17} into His covenant family Israel {Exodus 34:27} and His Father. So we can again within the 120 years of life now granted by God, {Genesis 6:3}, through a personal relationship with His Son Yeshua (Jesus Christ) an opportunity to be spiritually reconnected to our Father.

In terms of eternity, this is as James relates James 4:14 KJV, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

Heavenly Father, receive our humble prayers as we present ourselves before your throne. We thank you, Father, for the gifts of knowledge, discernment, wisdom, virtue, patience, godliness, temperance, devotion and goodwill to all men. We recognize these as the foundation of our walk as disciples, Fisher’s of Men and bright Beacons shining into the darkness of the world. We thank you, Father, for your guidance and continued support as we go forward. We pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen

Just how important are these 120 years? What significance do they play in our walk within working out our Salvation? Very few people live the 120 years which you say we are guaranteed, that includes those who live and walk with our Lord.

You’re right, however, the guarantee is those years are available, but we do not know the time of our mortality within those years. Now with this information knowing our lives are like a vapour in terms of eternity, the importance of our understanding this walk becomes quite essential to our approach. For both our walk and how we present our demonstration of the spiritual life to unbelievers and the Assembly.

The Holy Spirit brought the following forward as a template to follow and apply to our demonstration of sharing God’s light. Matthew Henry commented as follows on Psalms 1:1 -3.

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD and in his law doth he meditates day and night

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season his leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The psalmist begins with the character and condition of a godly man, that those may first take the comfort of that to whom it belongs.

Here is,A description of the godly man’s Spirit and way, by which we are to try ourselves. The Lord knows those that are his by name, but we must know them by their character for that is agreeable to a state of probation, that we may study to answer to the character, which is indeed both the command of the law which we are bound in duty to obey and the condition of the promise which we are bound in interest to fulfil. The character of a good man is here given by the rules he chooses to walk by and to take his measures from. What we take at our setting out, and at every turn, for the guide of our conversation, whether the course of this world or the word of God, is of material consequence. An error in the choice of our standard and leader is original and fatal but, if we are right here, we are in a fair way to do well. “
The importance of our working out our Salvation within the time alloted of 120 years, (our mortality is known only by God) now within those 120 years becomes a substantial point of knowledge.

The reason I state this is, due to our Lord’s caution to be prepared for His return. This is a very important fact, the Holy Spirit is bringing forward to be shared here. In telling us Yeshua’s return will be like a thief in the night. It is an indicator this return can be a personal one, meaning, it could involve the date of our mortality, only known by God.

So recognizing these facts the following again is a template that should be followed during the working out of our Salvation and increasing our personal relationship with Yeshua.

A godly man, that he may avoid the evil, utterly renounces the companionship of evil-doers, and will not be led by them (Psalms 1:1):

He walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, and this part of his character is put first because those that will keep the commandments of their God must say to evil-doers, Depart from us (Psalms 119:115).

And departing from evil is that in which wisdom begins (1) He sees evil-doers round about him the world is full of them they walk on every side. They are here described by three characters, ungodly, sinners, and scornful.

See by what steps men arrive at the height of impiety. [Nemo repente fit turpissimus]–None reach the height of vice at once. They are ungodly first, casting off the fear of God and living in the neglect of their duty to him: but they rest not there.

When the services of religion are laid aside, they come to be sinners, that is, they break out into open rebellion against God and engage in the service of sin and Satan.

Omissions make way for commissions, and by these, the heart is so hardened that at length they come to be scorners, that is, they openly defy all that is sacred, scoff at religion, and make a jest of sin. This is the way of iniquity down-hill the bad grow worse, sinners themselves become tempters to others and advocates for Baal.

I am providing this excerpt from the article “Dine With Me,” Published Jan 03, 2020, I believe it holds a serious warning for all to hear this invitation, “Today I am delivering an invitation being offered, to daily sit with our Lord to receive what He is offering as Spiritual fare. We go about our day being busy earning fare to provide sustenance for our tables at home. This invitation is to all believers and non-believers, to take a few minutes each day and sit at Yeshua’s table, so our Spirit and soul might replenish themselves so we might learn how to draw deeper into our personal relationship with Yeshua. So we might sip from a cup containing the living water.” I find it strange brothers and sisters in the Lord, we will spend our lives providing for the flesh and only days throughout our journey to mortality, providing for our Spirit and Soul.

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. [37] Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12: 36 – 37.

Please remember these articles are the work of a humble servant of Yeshua doing His bidding as a Watchmen sounding the Trumpet to warn of impending shortcomings within the Assembly. May our Father abundantly bless each one of you with wisdom and discernment to go forward as His “Modern Day Disciples.”

Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee, Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Yeshua is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 26:3-4)
