For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 1 Samuel 15:23
OPENING OPINION by Robert
How sad our Christian Society is today. Over the last three months, I have had three groups pull away from Trumpeter’s Call. I suspect because of my stand about telling the unadulterated truth about being sinful and unacceptable in God’s realm.
I was told God forgives all sin and you know what “He does,” however not if the individual is returning to the very sinful nature just forgiven. You see there is a little clause at the end of the forgiveness, that goes like this. Go and sin no more. What comes to mind is Prov.26:11: As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
How apt sinners are to relapse into it notwithstanding. As the dog, after he has gained ease by vomiting that which burdened his stomach, yet goes and licks it up again, so sinners, who have been convinced only and not converted, return to sin again, forgetting how sick it made them.
The apostle (2 Peter 2:22) applies this scripture to those that have known the way of righteousness but are turned from it; but God will spew them out of his mouth, (Revelation 3:16).
The cause of Yeshua’s rejection, self conceitedness and self-delusion. Is the result of pulling God down to their level and attribute human compassion and wisdom to that god, believing he forgives all sin, here is your fate. (Rom 1:22, Rev. 3:17). described in the following Commentary.
Adam Clarke, reveals the condition of many modern-day churches in comparison to the Laodicea mentioned in Revelation 3:17: I am rich. You suppose yourself to be in a safe state, perfectly sure of final salvation because you have been well and laid the right foundation. It was this most deceitful conviction that cut the nerves of their spiritual diligence. They rested in what they had already received and seemed to think that once in grace must be still in grace.
Think about this, God turned sinners like these, who in their minds believing they were right, over to a “reprobate mind” (Romans 1:28).
The point, God was finished with them meaning any who in the future chose this walk will fall under this same final rejection. Adam Clarke’s commentary reveals God’s action. They did not like to retain God. It would be more literal to translate, “They did not examine the evidence before them (Rom 1:19 – 20) of His being and attributes. Therefore God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to an “unresearching or undiscerning mind.” They did not reflect on the proofs they had of the divine nature, God abandoned them to the operations of a mind incapable of reflection.
When I looked up the definition of reprobate it meant final judgement. The last time I defined final it meant complete finished done no recourse.
Now here is an interesting part of this wisdom, by turning them over to a reprobate mind it became easy to walk in sin and many other forms of sins described in Romans 1:29 because Satan would immediately capture these souls (mind, will, and emotions).
Remember we were shown one of Satan’s weapons against mankind, is lack of spiritual discernment. They had a great deal of knowledge of general truths (Romans 1:19), but no prudence to apply them to particular cases.
Or, in their notions of God, and the creation of the world, and the origination of mankind, and the chief good in these things, when they quitted the plain truth, they soon disputed themselves into a thousand vain and foolish fancies.
Fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, neither filthiness, or foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient, for this ye know, no whoremonger, or unclean person, or covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not, partakers with them.
Please remember these articles are the work of a humble servant of Yeshua doing His bidding as a Watchmen sounding the Trumpet to warn of impending danger within the Assembly. May our Father abundantly bless each one of you with wisdom and discernment to go forward as “Modern Day Disciples.”
Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee, Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Yeshua is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 26:3-4)
