A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. John 13:34 KJV
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
In a recent conversation with a discerning brother, he related that his walk was sort of stalled and he was not sure what the Lord was going to ask of him.
A bit of background on this particular situation as it is a powerful testimony of one’s determination to stand behind his wife fighting 4th stage Lung Cancer.
I became involved through being a prayer warrior, and spiritual mentor, for them both. As the Lord answered prayer and extended the battle over the next four years. What transpired during that time was a complete demonstration of Love, caring, loyalty, and the honouring of vows given to the Lord.
The young man related: Imagine running the race alongside the person you love, they finished the race and are in Heaven, but you are walking around wondering what is the next race? Do I keep practicing? Do I sign up for what’s next? Do I just rest since I ran for 4 years? Kind of how I feel at the moment.
What I related was the following, Pause, deep breath, exhale look up to who is watching what you are going to do smooth pebble. You forget you have been moulded to do some deep work, not everyone has your level of loyalty, determination and devotion. The last four years have been your shaping and smoothing.
Don’t listen to Satan you’re doing lots of damage to his dominion and minions. Blessings brother take another deep breath and give thanks as you exhale to our Father for his work with you. “OH,” you better breathe. Your love (K) is present with you, through Yeshua’s love flowing over and into you. With Yeshua, there is no such thing as being alone or without the love of one lost as they have become one with the Lord and are present when he is.
As well, the Lord was working with you, on a spiritual level, in preparation during the past four years, for your future walk without your wife physically. The husband related, it was easier to do battle when his wife was with him.
CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63 KJV
Here the Holy Spirit brought the following to share with this young man of how over the four years Yeshua was designing and moulding him. When you were being attentive to your wife you were being filled with compassion while tending to her personal needs.
When you were spoon-feeding her you were being filled with love to share. As you tended to her small needs you were shown how to exercise your determination.
Each day throughout the four years the Lord was shaping you to be a bright light in your wife’s life and preparing you to carry and focus that light for those lost in the darkness. He was shaping and moulding you to become a smooth pebble to knock the rough edges off those God sees as precious stones in the rough.
The gifts instilled during your trials over the last four years with your wife were teachings of how to share God’s love. During this time each exercise was a deepening of your obedience so when the Lord has you testifying and ministering to those in the dark. They can witness God’s compassion, love and determination through your continued sharing. Same as your loyalty to provide as much comfort you physically could to your wife. The spoon-feeding was showing you how the word was to be shared with gentleness and caring.
Your walk has been filled with God’s light emanating strongly into the darkness drawing many believers and non-believers to the word. Your example of being an obedient servant is a sharing of God’s grace being an inspiration to those walking with the light of how to share God’s Love.
How with your demonstrated, determination, we all can bring God’s compassion and love through the trials before us, as teachings and gifts to overcome and sharpen our skills as servants.
As the world grows deeper into the darkness of sin, those going into the den of wolves will need a point of inspiration as He smooths the edges of many to become smooth Pebbles to be used to knock the roughness from the many precious stones with rough edges.
God is “a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness” (Psalm 86:15). Like all of God’s attributes, His compassion is infinite and eternal. His compassions never fail; they are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
When you have faith and courage of an obedient [child of God] to lead in Yeshua’s name, without fear, many will follow your light.
