The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold it was corrupt. For all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. Genesis 6:11 – 12.
Today our world is rushing towards the days of Noe, where wickedness is the order of the day. The pursuit of power and financial gain are the temples being worshipped in.
The battle is now focused on those walking in righteousness, bringing distractions and temptations as the assault. The most significant distraction is an attempt to stop worship.
The closing of churches and assemblies. As followers, we must use our spiritual wisdom to continue our worship and start an active pushback.
Heavenly Father, I come before you as a humble servant placing before your throne those who are seeking your truth. I plead Lord, you will fill them with courage that they may be strong when the enemy brings before them his subtleties, temptations, admonitions, brutalities.
These will come in the form of rebuttals, criticism, rejections, and, most of all, distractions.
I ask Father for your intercession and strengthening so they may go through their coming days with courage, knowledge, discernment, and understanding of your promise that not one hair on our head will be harmed if we walk in your Laws righteously.
I ask Father for angels to lift them above any harm, which is lurking and hidden, waiting to pounce on them. Lord, as you have said, you will set your love upon those in righteousness you will place on high and answer their prayer, honour them with long life. This I pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.
David, in his rendition, assures believers of divine protection from his own experience and that which he says is the word of God.
The Lord revealed how to recognize our use of faith. It comes down to one action on our part “Trust” in two things God’s word and our relationship with Him.
David describes the relationship. The character of those who shall have the benefit and comfort of these promises. They are such as make the Most High their Habitation (Psalms 91:9), as are continually with God and rest in him, make his name both their temple and their strong tower, dwell in love, and so dwell in God.
It is our duty to be at home with God, to make our choice of him, live our lives in him as our habitation, to converse with him, and delight in him and depend on him. Then it shall be our privilege to be at home in God.
It is the privilege and comfort of those that do so that they abide under the shadow of the Almighty he shelters them and comes between them and everything that would annoy them, whether storm or sunshine.
They shall not only have an admittance but a residence. Under God’s protection, he will be their rest and refuge forever.
The First Commandment now makes a whole lot more sense, I don’t see it as just a directive to worship God and only God and no other God. Yes, that is what He is commanding. However, I now have a different perspective and understanding of what I believe my Father in heaven really wants from all as His beloved children.
Perhaps now, when we say we’re working out our salvation, the true meaning will be with us.
Blessings from the heart as you go forward in your day.
