OPENING COMMENT

Acts 7:51 KJV

Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

“OPENING SOUNDING OF THE TRUMPET!”

The Assembly must be governed by a spirit of holiness and love, and heavenly-mindedness, so the Holy Spirits messages of the pending peril and darkening days ahead are heard but are not being listened to and thus heeded.

It has become clear some within the ecclesia are walking with one foot in the world and one foot spiritually. What grounds are being used to make this serious accusation against the faith of some within the ecclesia? A question that is going to raise the ire of many because it will be convicting.

If you are abiding with the Lord as you profess, then why do you rely on the worldly professionals practicing medicine and pharmacy for your maladies, which should not be suffered, to begin with?

But then according to Yeshua’s word if we abuse the temple 1 Corinthians 3:17 KJVS

If any man defiles the temple of God, he shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple are ye.

Like the apostle Stephen, I am drawing from the spirit of wisdom, courage, and power and am sharply rebuking and exposing your true character. Because you will not admit to the many testimonies of the Holy Spirit over the year’s past.

Here the apostle Stephen resumes his argument and exhortation, founding it on his former allusion, You are God’s building, 1 Corinthians 3:9, and here, Know you not that you are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? You are God’s building, 1 Corinthians 3:9, and here, know you not that you are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

If any man defile (corrupt and destroy) the temple of God, he shall God destroy, for the temple of God is holy, which temple are you?

Christ had lately foretold his sufferings, and the glory that should follow, that he should rise again, from whence they expected his kingdom would commence and now they thought it was time to put in for their places in it, it is good, in such cases, to speak early. This sounds familiar in the ecclesia today.

Upon other discourses of Christ to that purport, debates of this kind arose (Matthew 20:19,20; Luke 22:22,24) he spoke many words of his sufferings, but only one of his glory yet they fasten upon that, and overlook the other and, instead of asking how they might have strength and grace to suffer with him, they ask him, “Who shall be highest in reigning with him.” (Thus, a door is opened for an untruth to be planted).

I wonder how many today might be looking for that same distinction under the belief they are guaranteed to be in heaven. I wonder how many will ponder this scripture and realize they may be in this group knocking at the end of their journey

Matthew 7:22 KJV

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?

I again ask the following now with greater urgency, If you are abiding with the Lord as you profess, then why do you rely on the worldly professionals practicing medicine and pharmacy for your maladies, which you should not be suffering, to begin with, if you are abiding with Yeshua.

John is swifter of foot and comes first to the sepulchre: but Peter has more courage and goes first into it. Thus, many that are last shall be first.

Some make it a caution to the disciples, who had boasted of their timely and passionate embracing of Christ they had left all, to follow him. But let them look to it, that they keep up their zeal let them press forward and persevere else their good beginnings will avail them little they that seemed to be first, will be last.

Sometimes those that are converted later in their lives, outperform those that are converted earlier. Paul was as one born out of due time, yet came not behind the chiefest of the apostles, and outdid those that were in Christ before him.

Something of affinity there is between this parable and that of the prodigal son, where he that returned from his wandering, was as dear to his father as he was, that never went astray first and last alike

That the recompence of reward will be given to the saints, not according to the time of their conversion, but according to the preparations for it by grace in this world not according to the seniority (Genesis 43:33), but according to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Daily working out your Salvation drawing closer in your personal relationship with Yeshua.

Christ had promised the apostles, who followed him in the regeneration, at the beginning of the gospel dispensation, great glory (Matthew 19:28) but he now tells them that those who are in a like manner faithful to him, even in the latter end of the world, shall have the same reward, shall sit with Christ on his throne, as well as the apostles, Revelation 2:26-3:21.

Sufferers for Christ in the latter days shall have the same reward with the martyrs and confessors of the primitive times, though they are more celebrated and faithful ministers now, the same with the first fathers.

Whatsoever is right, Matthew 20:4-7. Note, God will be sure not to be behindhand with any for the service they do him: never any loss by working for God.

The crown set before us is a crown of righteousness, which the righteous Judge shall give. For what term are they hired? For a day. It is but a day’s work that is here done. The time of life is the day, in which we must work the works of him that sent us into the world. Thus, the importance of daily dining with Yeshua.

Even though it appears lengthy it is a short time (James 4:13,14), but the reward is for eternity, the work is but for a day man is said to accomplish, as a hireling, his day, Job 14:6.

This should quicken us to expedition and diligence in our work, that we have but a little time to work in, and the night is rushing on when no man can work and if our great work is undone when our day is done, we are undone for ever

It should also encourage us in reference to the hardships and difficulties of our work, that it is but for a day the approaching shadow, which the servant earnestly desires, will bring with it both rest, and the reward of our work, Job 7:2. Hold out, faith, and patience, yet a little while.

Again, I ask this question, why are so many trusting in the wisdom of the world to maintain their temples. But then according to Yeshua’s word if we abuse the temple 1 Corinthians 3:17 KJVS

If any man defiles the temple of God, he shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple are ye.

Great corruptions and abuses come into the church by the practices of those whose gain is godliness, that is, who make worldly gain the end of their godliness, and counterfeit godliness their way to worldly gain (1 Timothy 6:5) from such withdraw.

The purging out of this abuse. Yeshua (Christ) cast them out that sold. He did it before with a scourge of small cords (John 2:15) now he did it with a look, with a frown, with a word of command.

Some reckon this none of the least of Christ’s miracles, that he should himself thus clear the temple, and not be opposed in it by those who by their craft create their living, and are backed in it by priests and elders.

It is an instance of his power over the spirits of men, and the hold he has of them by their own consciences. This will be the only act of regal authority and coercive power that Yeshua (Christ) did in the days of his flesh he began with it, John 2:12-25 and here ended with it.

What he said, to justify himself, and to convict them (Matthew 21:13) It is written. Note, In the reformation of the church, the eye must be upon the scripture, and that must be adhered to as the rule, the pattern in the mount and we must go no further than we can justify ourselves with, It is written. Reformation is then right when corrupted ordinances are reduced to their primitive institution.

He shows, from a scripture prophecy, what the temple should be, and was designed to be My house shall be called the house of prayer, which is quoted from Isaiah 56:7.

Note, All the ceremonial institutions were intended to be subservient to moral duties the house of sacrifices was to be a house of prayer, for that was the substance and soul of all those services the temple was in a special manner sanctified to be a house of prayer, for it was not only the place of that worship but the medium of it.

So that the prayers made in or toward that house had a particular promise of acceptance (2 Chronicles 6:21), as it was a type of Christ therefore Daniel looked that way in prayer and in this sense no house or place is now or can be, a house of prayer, for Christ, is our Temple yet in some sense the appointed places of our religious assemblies may be so-called, as places where prayer is want to be made, Acts 16:13.

He shows, from a scripture reproof, how they had abused the temple, and perverted the intention of it Ye have made it a den of thieves. This is quoted from Jeremiah 7:11, has this house become a den of robbers in your eyes?

When dissembled piety is made the cloak and cover of iniquity, it may be said that the house of prayer has become a den of thieves, in which they lurk, and shelter themselves.

CLOSING STATEMENT

We know from Matt. 15:12 “The disciples said unto Yeshua (Christ), Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, and did thou not foresee that they would be so, at this saying, and would think the worse of thee and of thy doctrine for it, and be the more enraged at thee?”

No more than those who walk in error today will be, at this article, as it exposes errors in their walks.

Matthew Henry in his commentary of Matt.15:12: It was not strange that the Pharisees should be offended at this plain truth, for they were men made up of error and enmity, mistakes and malice.

Sore eyes cannot bear clear light, and nothing is more provoking to proud imposers than the undeceiving of those whom they have first blindfolded, and then enslaved.

It should seem that the Pharisees, who were strict observers of the traditions, were more offended than the scribes, who were the teachers of them and perhaps they were as much galled with the latter part of Christ’s doctrine, which taught a strictness in the government of our tongue, as with the former part, which taught an indifference about washing our hands great contenders for the formalities of religion, being commonly as great condemners of the substantial’s of it.

The disciples thought it strange that their Master should say that which he knew would give so much offence he did not use to do so: surely, they think, if he had considered how provoking it would be, he would not have said it.

But he knew what he said, and to whom he said it, and what would be the effect of it and would teach us, that though in indifferent things we must be tender of giving offence, yet we must not, for fear of that, evade any truth or duty. Truth must be owned, and duty is done and if any be offended, it is his own fault it is scandal, not given, but taken.

I now turn to a bitter lesson for those of us who would follow in the footsteps of Yeshua, knowing we must or should by choice abide in righteousness like John the Baptist to death if need be.

How hard is this in our temptation filled world of comforts and subtle luxuries. Gadgets make our worldly life simple and supposedly entertaining, a time filled with leisure and non-laborious moments. In these moments we become slack and lazy spiritually opening the door for Satan to plant his deceptions through our ignorance and missing information.

We are then drawn into the belief that we can trust in science (man’s wisdom to maintain our temples) as well alchemy allowing for instant relief of pain and maladies which signal the beginning of the destruction of our temple. Remember nothing happens in the flesh (Temple) unless it has happened in the spirit first.

This is where I again ask this question if you are abiding with the Lord as you profess, then why do you rely on worldly professionals, practicing medicine and pharmacy, for your temple’s everyday maladies, which should not be suffered, to begin with. But then according to Yeshua’s word if we abuse the temple 1 Corinthians 3:17 KJVS

If any man defiles the temple of God, he shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple are ye.

At this point, I wonder if many will ask, “How if they walk-in the belief they can maintain their temple as a holy place sharing it with Yeshua? Can trust in worldly wisdom and continue professing to be abiding with God?

I wonder how many have fallen for this form of worldly wisdom, as being spiritual? “We can’t be so heavenly minded that we’re no earthly good, it’s all about balance.” And to qualify this statement the quote continues. “Get right with God while there is still time and make amends where needed. Do good, but don’t worry about the future, each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Here in Psalm 91:1-6 A great truth laid down in general, That all those who live a life of communion with God are constantly safe under his protection, and may therefore preserve a holy serenity and security of mind at all times (Psalms 91:1):

He that dwells, that sits down, in the secret place of the Highest, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty he that by faith chooses God for his guardian shall find all that in him which he needs or can desire.

Note, 1. It is the character of a true believer that he dwells in the secret place of the Highest he is at home in God, returns to God, and reposes in him as his rest he acquaints himself with inward religion, and makes heart-work of the service of God, worships within the veil, and loves to be alone with God, to converse with him in solitude

  1. It is the privilege and comfort of those that do so that they abide under the shadow of the Almighty he shelters them and comes between them and everything that would annoy them, whether storm or sunshine. They shall not only have an admittance but a residence, under God’s protection he will be their rest and refuge forever.

So, knowing of all the promises, I again ask, those professing to abide with God, why are you turning your trust to worldly wisdom and not God? Perhaps a better question is where your faith is being placed and why?

The following is in answer to those who will be asking how they will survive if they make the changes necessary to be spiritually abiding with God.

I published the following on January 11th, 2018, the intent was to show discerning businessmen how to succeed using the following template. What I have come to realize is this template is applicable for today’s “Modern Day Disciples” doing God’s work as well allowing all who use it to be not attached from the world.

We wonder, where some garner success in business and as well in their spiritual walk. I believe many who walk in the light and hold to spiritual discernment see the advantages of this template to success both physically and especially Spiritually.

It becomes a personal choice. However, I see it as an excellent guide and an answer to succeeding in all aspects of our spiritual life, a blueprint to achieve, “
“Have you ever approached a responsibility with this kind of single-mindedness and careful planning, while ultimately depending on God?”

  • 1). Accepted the challenge?
  • 2). Examine alternatives?
  • 3)Promise to follow instructions?
  • 4). Create a plan?
  • 5). Submitted the plan to God?
  • 6). Prayed for guidance?
  • 7). Devised a strategy with room for God to operate?
  • 8). Waited?
  • 9). Watched closely?
  • 10). Accepted the answer thankfully?
  • 11). Explained the situation to concerned parties?
  • 12). Refused unnecessary delay?
  • 13). Followed through with the entire plan?
  • 14)  “It’s your move,” but keep in mind follow all the steps no shortcuts,             they won’t work here.

If you recall, we were shown by the Holy Spirit in ‘THERE CAN BE NO TRUE PEACE WITHOUT GRACE.” where he revealed, “For our Salvation to have any value in God’s eyes, it must be shared.
