IMAGE OF A CORRUPTIBLE MAN
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
The believer retains volitional control over his own spirit is the key point to note, and through ignorance he can withdraw his spirit from co-operation with the Holy Spirit, and thus, so to speak, “walk” after the soul, or after the flesh unwittingly.
The knowledge that the Spirit of God has come to indwell the shrine of the spirit, is not enough to guarantee that the believer will continue to walk in the spirit, and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. (Gal. 5:16).
If he lives by the spirit he must learn how to walk by the Spirit, and for this understand how to “combine” and “compare” spiritual things with spiritual (1Cor. 2:13) so as to interpret truly the things of the Spirit of God, exercising the spirit faculty by which he is able to examine all things, and discern the mind of the Lord.
Who comforted us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we are comforted of God? 2Corinthians 1:4
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:16
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James 3:16 KJV
These verses show the difference between men’s pretending to be wise, and they are being so. He who thinks well, or he who talks well, is not wise in the sense of the Scripture if he does not live and act well. True wisdom may be known by the humility of the spirit and temper.
The following is worldly wisdom related as an answer to the question: “If you are abiding in the Lord as you profess, then why do you rely on the worldly professional’s practicing medicine and pharmacy, for your maladies, which should not be suffered, to begin with?”
I believe you can. It’s called discernment and common sense. Ask God to guide you. If you are living right, abiding in God’s Word, you should be healthy. Sometimes things just happen for reasons known only to God. God gave us doctors and medicine, and God uses them to heal us; the problem comes when we rely on them too much instead of relying on God. We live in a fallen world, and Christians are not immune to the fall’s effects.
When we look at this statement, we find error mixed with truths which does not descend from heaven it is earthly principles acts on earthly motives and is intent on serving earthly purposes.
Those who live in malice, envy, and contention, live in confusion; and are liable to be provoked and hurried to any evil work. Such wisdom comes not down from above but springs up from earthly principles acts on earthly motives and is intent on serving earthly purposes.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
Within this article, many truths about the walk of those functioning through Pride, led by their spiritual achievements. Believing they are above many will be identified as an error in their walks. God had a particular way of bringing them back to reality through the Apostle Paul’s testimony about God’s thorn.
The application of a Spiritual truth must constantly be made anew, for human nature loves a monopoly; it does not seem real to have a thing unless its possession is exclusive.
Some are all too ready to unchurch or unchristianize, others; to say, “We are Yeshua’s,” with an emphasis which means that others are not.
Assemblies with a strong organization are especially tempted to this unchristian narrowness and pride. Their members think instinctively of other Believers as outsiders and inferiors; they would like to take them in, to re-ordain their ministers, to reform their constitution, to give validity to their sacraments-in one word, to legitimize them as Believers and as Societies of Believers and Followers. All of this is mere unintelligence and arrogance.
Yeshua became man, and was tempted, that he might be every way qualified to succour his people, seeing that he had passed through the same temptations himself, but continued perfectly free from sin.
Then let not the afflicted and tempted despond, or give place to Satan, as if temptations made it wrong for them to come to the Lord in prayer. No soul ever perished under temptation, that cried unto the Lord from real alarm at its danger, with faith and expectation of relief. This is our duty upon our first being surprised by temptations and would stop their progress, which is our wisdom.
CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert
Why, do we find it is common with people, not to reach out to Yeshua until they have tried in vain all other helpers. And see them, as undoubtedly, they will, physicians of no value. Some run to diversions; others plunge into business, or even into excess.
Others go about to establish their own righteousness or torment themselves by vain superstitions. Many perish in these ways, but none will ever find rest to the soul by such devices.
Remember discerning and understanding information brings about strength, courage, determination and the absolute removal of fear and doubt.
I keep hearing about the mark of the beast where we will not be able to travel or trade without the mark. I released an article asking the question of why do discerning believers fear?
In the following article: https://romboughrobert.wordpress.com/2020/07/30/prayer-our-most-potent-weapon-only-in-righteousness/
Within we are shown three very important promises given by the Father in Psalms 91:9-16, which many take for granted or simply ignore because they do not discern the future spiritual significance of it.
If we genuinely are the assembly of God, my question is, why are some within the collective Assembly, presumably walking in fear?
When God has provided us with the perfect cover in Psalms 91:9 -16 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Highest, thy habitation.
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
God, then relates what power we now and will continue to hold over our enemy, v13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him.
I will set him on high because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him Salvation.
These days are closing in but not here yet, but the Assembly must be prepared to answer this question “How will we continue?”
The Lord has placed multiple templates before us as guides to teach and bring knowledge, wisdom, understanding and finally, discernment to absolutely remove fear and doubt to deepen our faith.
Each parable each spiritual lesson through the Holy Spirit is brought forward to broaden our faith which we should willingly accept as trust, as an ongoing future testament God is not a Liar, and in the future turmoil. He did during the Exodus provide His children manna, water, maintained their clothing and footwear to sustain those: Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the, Most High, thy habitation, during this period of evil.
If you have worldly attachments or favourite items within the world teach yourself to release them, enjoy them but detach from them as the day is nearing when you will be called to let them go in our Lord’s name. Recall we were asked to choose who to follow Yeshua or Baal, the time is coming to honour your choice, Yeshua or Baal.
Please remember these articles are the work of a humble servant of Yeshua doing His bidding as a Watchmen sounding the Trumpet to warn of impending danger within the Assembly. May our Father abundantly bless each one of you with wisdom and discernment to go forward as “Modern Day Disciples.” Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee, Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Yeshua is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 26:3-4)
