OBSERVATION by Robert
When looking at the current societal presence it is quite simple to recognize the driving factor behind the current condition of the world population “fear and paranoia.”
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. (James 3:16).
The evil work described in James 3:16 is being exposed as the current condition of those walking in the world.
Political Correctness and Delusional Paranoia have brought forward the true condition of those currently walking as the worldly as described in 2Timothy 3: For men shall be lovers of their selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful. Unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (the God is Love without being Chaste movement); from such turn away.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
Now we know what is meant when it is stated entering the Den of Wolves. As well knowing this information we recognize who and what we are daily cohabitating with. My wonder, how long after being exposed to this evil will it take to influence us and draw us away from righteousness? Or will it?
As I research scripture it becomes quite clear Yeshua (Jesus Christ) walked among the same level of evil as revealed in 2Timothy 3. Yet had crowds following him.
- My findings show how we can function within this Den of Wolves, through what Yeshua practiced, he stated the truth in parables, and then demonstrated those truths as part of his walk. He gave those following within his footsteps the how to not only survive but as well recognizing why we need to be separated from the world and its temptations.
Here is an expected rebuttal, but he is God’s Son and has all the powers of heaven at his fingertips. My answer to this claim is in our Lords words found in
John 10:25 KJVS, Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
Then relates the following in John 6:38 KJVS For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
OPENING COMMENTS by Robert
1 John 5:20 KJVS
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
Mankind is divided into two great parties of dominions, that which belongs to God and that which belongs to wickedness or to the wicked one. Christian believers belong to God. They are of God, and from him, and to him, and for him.
In his discourse with two disciples he took the veil from off the text, by opening the scriptures here he took the veil from off the heart, by opening the mind. Observe here, That Jesus Christ by his Spirit operates on the minds of men, on the minds of all that are his. He has access to our spirits and can immediately influence them.
It is observable how he did now after his resurrection gives a specimen of those two great operations of his Spirit upon the spirits of men, his enlightening the intellectual faculties with divine light when he opened the understandings of his disciples, and his invigorating the active powers with a divine heat when he made their hearts burn within them.
As prayer is to be made to God only, so it is our duty in prayer to eye him as a Father, and to call him our Father. All that have the Spirit of adoption are taught to cry Abba, Father, John 17:25. For it will be of great use to us in prayer, both for direction and for encouragement, to call God as we hope to find him.
See how great the authority of the Redeemer is. He has lives and crowns to give, eternal lives that never die, immortal crowns that never fade. Now consider how great the Lord Jesus is, who has such preferments in his gift and how gracious he is in giving eternal life to those whom he undertakes to save
[a] He sanctifies them in this world, gives them the spiritual life which is eternal life in the bud and embryo, John 4:14. Grace in the soul is heaven in that soul
[b] He will glorify them in the other world their happiness shall be completed in the vision and fruition of God.
This only is mentioned, because it supposes all the other parts of his undertaking, teaching them, satisfying for them, sanctifying them, and preparing them for that eternal life and indeed all the other were in order to this we are called to his kingdom and glory and begotten to the inheritance. What is last in execution was first in intention, and that is eternal life.
That it was not without much ado that he was brought to believe at last: “If thou had not seen me alive, thou would not have believed ” but if no evidence must be admitted, but that of our own senses, and we must believe nothing but what we ourselves are eye-witnesses of, farewell all commerce and conversation.
If this must be the only method of proof, how must the world be converted to the faith of Christ? He is therefore justly blamed for laying so much stress upon this.
He commends the faith of those who believe upon easier terms. Thomas, as a believer, was truly blessed but rather blessed are those that have not seen. It is not meant of not seeing the objects of faith (for these are invisible, Hebrews 11:1,2 Corinthians 4:18), but the motives of faith–Christ’s miracles, and especially his resurrection blessed are those that see not these, and yet believe in Christ.
This may look, either backward, upon the Old-Testament saints, who had not seen the things which they saw, and yet believed the promise made unto the father, and lived by that faith or forward, upon those who should afterwards believe, the Gentiles, who had never seen Christ in the flesh, as the Jews had.
This faith is more laudable and praise-worthy than theirs who saw and believed for,
It evidences a better temper of mind in those that do believe. Not to see and yet to believe argues greater industry in searching after truth and greater ingenuousness of mind in embracing it. He that believes upon that sight has his resistance conquered by a sort of violence but he that believes without it, like the Bereans, is nobler.
It is a greater instance of the power of divine grace. The less sensible the evidence is the more does the work of faith appears to be the Lord’s doing. Peter is blessed in his faith, because flesh and blood have not revealed it to him, Matthew 16:17.
We are not to ascribe inefficacy to any word of God: nothing that he has spoken does or can fall to the ground see Isaiah 55:10,11. The promises and threatening’s shall have their accomplishment and, one way or other, he will magnify the law and make it honourable.
This is to be understood especially of the promise of God, which by subsequent providences may be to a wavering faith very doubtful but it is not, it cannot be, made of no effect at the end it will speak and not lie.
Now the difficulty is to reconcile the rejection of the unbelieving Jews with the word of God’s promise, and the external tokens of the divine favour, which had been conferred upon them. This he does in four ways: —
- By explaining the true meaning and intention of the promise, Romans 9:6-13
- By asserting and proving the absolute sovereignty of God, in disposing of the children of men, Romans 9:14-24
- By showing how this rejection of the Jews, and the taking in of the Gentiles, were foretold in the Old Testament, Romans 9:25-29
- By fixing the true reason of the Jews’ rejection, Romans 9:30, to the end.Again please remember this is just a humble servant doing the bidding of the LORD I pray for a safe journey forward. A walk-in God’s love and peace, and may the “SHARING OF YOUR LIGHT” be fruitful, remember He is always with you if you hold His love in your heart forever.
