This article is part two of WHAT AFFECT CAN A WORD HAVE, it is part of the series of articles I am sharing to assist anyone suffering pain without a physical attribution to it. My goal is to assist as many as I can to regain their life without pain, fear and especially drugs. This article explains faith and defines what its’ skills are and how to use them effectively.
The answer to the question “CAN FEELINGS MAKE YOU A PRISONER” is “Yes” short and simple and “Yes” you can and will become a prisoner to your feelings especially if you are unable to recognize what those feelings mean and how to correctly respond to the emotions stimulated by them.
Identifying or qualifying how you become a prisoner to your feelings should be the first action to understanding the question. This step will allow you to break free of your emotional prison once you recognize and accept you’re there, but not until you’re honest with yourself, will that occur.
This process is not a cover-up method, it will bring you to a permanent fix. “Hard to believe“, well let’s go forward and see how it works. By the way, “there are no medications involved” and when you begin you must drop them completely, “scary” huh, “yes”, but very rewarding once achieved.
Recognize you must be able to discern the fix is happening to you as a result of being honest not because of medications which really don’t help anyway and with many of them you have headaches as one side effect.
So let’s begin: “The first thing to recognize and understand is the difference between Emotions and Feelings and how we react to them” please note: most men will have trouble with this concept initially but can and will learn to understand both.
In my opinion Feelings and Emotions are not one in the same, in reality this belief is a “long way from the truth”. I will be sharing a formula, I have successfully worked with over the last 35 years. Once it is understood, implemented and followed individuals find a life free of the cycles of constant pain and gain the ability to enjoy life.
Now for those who want to believe our Feelings and Emotions are one and the same; here is some food for thought. After a number of years of personally having to deal with unsubstantiated head pain.
I recognized my feelings were really “bits and pieces of information about what was occurring to me on a spiritual plain, and in turn triggered an emotional response on the physical plain”. Which at the time I did not understand, nor knew why I was reacting on an Emotional level the way I was and as a result unwittingly suppressed it. This was the beginning of my imprisonment to my Feelings and Emotions, my life was now being controlled by pain and the fear of it.
Again in my opinion in many cases because we either don’t recognize or understand our reaction to an emotional response, we create a defense mechanism, in an attempt at protecting ourselves from responding to pain on that emotional level, which is usually Anger.
Now not recognizing or understanding why I was responding in the manner I was, I did the following, which when you take a serious honest look at yourself you may find you are doing the same suppressing your emotional responses.
Once this protection mechanism was in place, I then began a cycle of suppressing my emotional reactions to life’s various situations and in turn inadvertently was building the walls of my emotional Prison.
As an example if I kicked you in the ankle you would feel pain which would be broadcast to you as hurt, thus you say “ouch that hurt”(your initial feeling) your response to this scenario then is Anger (your 1st emotional response) towards yourself for being hurt (your 2nd feeling), which is then expressed as Anger (your 2nd emotional response) to either the object or perpetrator for hurting you.
Now not knowing or understanding what to do with my emotional responses I would suppress them or in plain English set them aside or ignore them. So from this scenario in my opinion, we should recognize the separation between feelings and emotions, thus my definition: “feelings are just bits and pieces of information about what is happening to me on a spiritual level; emotions are the reaction to the information my feelings are providing on a spiritual level, so I’m able to understand why I’m responding on a physical level”.
I believe the above definition is a very important key for us to understand how the information our feelings are supplying can and will assist us in eventually dealing with both your feelings and your emotions independently and gaining the understanding to their actual effects on you personally either spiritually and especially physically.
Now the above statement brings me to the second part of this scenario, which is a crucial and very important part in understanding how to deal with your feelings and emotions on a spiritual level and then connecting that information to the physical plain we recognize as the physical person we actually see in the mirror every morning.
So with that in mind the next section I want to tackle and redefine for many is that our Spirit and Soul are separate entities. Each plays a specific role in our existence and how that effects us overall. So to fully explain the roles each plays in our existence we need to understand the separation.
Now remember what I am about to relate is strictly my own opinion and interpretation that I have lived by and am willing to share so don’t shoot the messenger before he relates the message please keep an open mind. “As individuals we are made up of three parts Body, Spirit and Soul, with each playing a significant role in our existence. The Spirit is what gives us life, the Soul is made up of three parts the mind , will and emotions which gives us the ability to understand life, the body is a vessel which allows us to function on a physical level”.
In a past article I stated that nothing happens to us physically as it must first happen to us Spiritually. Many only see the physical part of who we are and forget that the other two parts must be acknowledged and understood as well. This is the prison many place themselves in unintentionally through fear and misunderstanding. Yes, we appear as physical beings, however we must recognize all parts spirit and soul (mind ,will, and emotions) or remain in that prison.
Once we are able to take our hands off the beliefs that the world offers answers through medications the sooner we are able to work on a spiritual level using faith as a tool connected to our soul (mind, will, and emotions). I remind you the Lord healed in the spirit which then manifested in the flesh. Medications do not have any effect on the spiritual realm.
To begin the work I am about to introduce a method of communication most are not familiar with or if they do set it aside. The communication I am speaking about is with us always, it is our feelings letting us know there are things happening in the spirti which need to be attended to nothing more, just bits and pieces of information, now here is when it gets tricky, being human our emotions kick in to respond to the warning. Unless we are familiar with this method of spiritual communication we miss the mark and work with the wrong solution.
This technique should only be used by those solidly grounded in the word and walking in faith. Learning to accept our feelings as just bits and pieces of information about how our spirit is being affected opens the door for us to recognize through wisdom how our emotional response should be accepted and handled. This goes back to recognizing whether we are Coping or Dealing with life’s challenges, as the key component to this communication technique is honesty with our selves.
Here is where I’m going to sign off this section as again I know there is a great amount to work with and absorb.
“All the best everyone” I know once you step back and honestly take a look where you’re at in your life’s journey, I believe you will find your way out of the prison you unknowingly have trapped yourself in, by learning how to understand and use the skills of Faith.
