“WISDOM!”

“WISDOM”
Proverbs 24:5 KJVS
A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increases strength.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

The Honour which comes from God is always attended with a work to be done; to be employed for God is high Honour. Those whom God calls to any service, he will find or make fit for it.

The Lord gives different gifts to different persons; let each mind his proper work, diligently remembering that whatever wisdom anyone possesses, the Lord put it in the heart to do his commandments.

Without a willing mind, costly offerings would be abhorred; the smallest will be accepted with it. Our hearts are willing when we cheerfully assist in promoting the cause of God.

Those who are diligent and contented in employments considered mean are as much accepted of God as those engaged in splendid services. The women who spun the goats’ hair were wise-hearted because they did it heartily to the Lord.

Thus, the labourer, mechanic, or servant who attends to his work in the faith and fear of God, maybe as wise, for his place, as the most useful minister, and he equally accepted of the Lord. Our wisdom and duty consist in giving God the glory and use of our talents, be they many or few.

Here is the Divine appointment of the master-workmen, that there might be no strife for the office, and that all who were employed in work might take direction from and give account to them. Those whom God called by name to his service, he filled with the Spirit of God.

Skill, even in worldly employments, is God’s gift and comes from above. But many are ready enough to cut out work for other people and tell what this man or that man should do, but the burdens they bind on others, they themselves will not touch with one of their fingers. Such will fall under the character of slothful servants.

These men were not only to devise and to work themselves, but they were to teach others. Those that rule should teach, and those to whom God has given knowledge, should be willing to make it known for the benefit of others.

Learn here that sin is a debt, and all are sinners, are debtors to Almighty God. Some sinners are greater debtors, but whether our debt is more or less, it is more than we can pay.

God is ready to forgive, and his Son having purchased pardon for those who believe in him, his gospel promises it to them, and his Spirit seals it to repenting sinners and gives them the comfort.

Let us keep far from the proud spirit of the Pharisee, simply depending upon and rejoicing in Christ alone, and so be prepared to obey him more zealously and more strongly to recommend him unto all around us.

The more we express our sorrow for sin, and our love for Christ, the clearer evidence we have of the forgiveness of our sins. What a wonderful change does grace make upon a sinner’s heart and life, as well as upon his state before God, by the full remission of all his sins through faith in our Lord Yeshua (Jesus)!

When he comes to judge the world, he will redeem all that are his from their troubles. So fully did the Divine judgements come upon the Jews, that their city is set as an example before us, to show that sins will not pass unpunished; and that the terrors of the Lord and his threatening are against impenitent sinners, will all come to pass, even as his word was true, and his wrath great upon Jerusalem.

With much curiosity, those about Christ ask as to the time when the great desolation should be. Christ tells them what hard things they should suffer for his name’s sake and encourages them to bear up under their trials and to go on in their work, notwithstanding the opposition they would meet with.

God will stand by you, and own you, and assist you. This was remarkably fulfilled after the pouring out of the Spirit, by whom Christ gave his disciples wisdom and utterance. Though we may be losers for Christ, we shall not. We cannot be losers by him in the end.

It is always our duty and interest, especially in perilous, trying times, to secure the safety of our own souls. By Christian patience, we keep possession of our own souls and keep out all those impressions that would put us out of temper.

There is that in our sinful hearts, which always resists the Holy Ghost, a flesh that lusts against the Spirit, and wars against his motions; but in the hearts of God’s elect, when the fulness of time comes, this resistance is overcome. The gospel was offered now, not by angels, but from the Holy Ghost; yet they did not embrace it, for they were resolved not to comply with God, either in his law or in his gospel.

CLOSING PRAYER

Hear our praises Heavenly Father being set before your throne as our sacrifices to you as humble servants. We thank you, Lord, first for our newborn lives in the Spirit. Thank you, Father, for the spirit to hear your words through the Holy Spirit. Praise and honour from our new hearts go out to you Lord for giving us this opportunity through your unselfish sacrifice. We say thank you, as we pray in your name Yeshua, Amen and, Amen.

Remember, these messages are given by a humble servant obedient to our Lord Yeshua as a “Watchman.” This, I pray for all. ”Our Heavenly Father brings us to the river which bringeth forth fruit so we may partake of its sustenance and be filled spiritually with nurturing wisdom, and humble dedication in service to Yeshua.“ “Blessings to All.” As you go forward in peace, knowledge, and strength. In the name of Yeshua, we pray Amen and Amen.
