Heavenly Father, as we bow before your throne and lay our petitions before you, we ask you to hear our prayers. As our days become more treacherous and dangerous, we pray Lord for your guidance.
We recognize Father those who desire to harm or prevent us from doing your work, they do not accept you or your compassion, forgiveness, or love. We give praise Lord for the protection you place us under and acknowledge You alone are our helper and uphold our souls.
We know Father you will reward evil unto our enemies cutting them off in your truth. We know Father it is You who will deliver us from all sin. This we give thanks for in the name of your Son, Yeshua, Amen, and Amen.
Going through the worldly News, it becomes clear the Assembly of God and those worshipping His Son Yeshua are under intense attack. Here in North America personal attack is not prolific yet. However, the offense is there; it is a verbal and spiritual attack sniping, ridiculing, name calling and many other atrocities toward the flock.
I believe we all have experienced a major storm one that warrants public warning of its impending presence and danger. We listen intently to the warnings and seek a safe shelter to ride it out.
I desire to point out, is the weather condition of the storm just making its entrance into our lives. When you stop, look, and listen, what you sense is a complete calm an eerie silence and heavy dead air filled with emptiness.
This analogy is God’s way of warning us, and a message to all to get things right in His children’s lives as a severe Spiritual attack is coming against His flock.
This period of calm gives us time to prepare ourselves spiritually for the upcoming spiritual battles we are about to face. Just like when we receive a warning of severe and dangerous weather to seek a safe location.
The difference is one will be a battle to be fought. The other will be to gain a safe abode to deal with what you cannot face safely or control.
As followers of Yeshua, we are being prepared as His Warriors to face spiritually what is coming. We are given the following from Proverbs 3:25-26 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolations of the wicked when it cometh. V26. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
This commentary from Matthew Henry relating King Solomon’s wisdom reveals our preparation and the weapons we will possess for use against what is about to occur to those in the flock. “Let us not suffer Christ’s words to depart from us, but keep sound wisdom and discretion; then shall we walk safely in his ways. The natural life and all that belongs to it shall be under the protection of God’s providence; the spiritual life, and all its interests, under the protection of his grace, so that we shall be kept from falling into sin or trouble.”
“To have them always in view.” “My son, let them not depart from thy eyes let not thy eyes ever depart from them to wander after vanity.”
The way of duty is the way of safety. ” We are in danger of falling, but wisdom will keep thee, that thy foot shall not stumble at those things which are an offense and overthrow to many, but which thou shalt know how to get over.”
The harms which surprise us, unthought of, giving us no time to arm ourselves by consideration, are most likely to put us into confusion. But let not the wise and good man forget himself, and then he will not give way to any fear that has torment, be the alarm ever so sudden. Let him not fear the desolation of the wicked, when it comes, that is, though God may make use of the wicked as instruments of His people’s correction, yet he will never suffer them to be the authors of their destruction.
Like every storm, there is a beginning and a passing to the end. Make this time of calm your opportunity to gain wisdom and time to learn how to apply it wisely.
Blessings to all, and hold this “For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
