1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit. For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
The saying is when we stop learning we are dead. This saying particularly applies to scripture and our walk under grace. When we shun or ignore teachings and warnings from scripture definitely we have stepped back into darkness and the death it holds for disobedience, a haughty spirit, a spirit of pride, a spirit of unteachableness. All lead into a spiritual death.
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
Fresh from learning how the path of obedience brings [gifts] blessings and disobedience brings [curses] (a’or utter destruction) upon those who follow the path of disobedience. We will find how God reveals his knowledge. How God proves the authority of the Scriptures. We will be shown who searches us and why? We will learn, as did the Apostles, whose guiding both, they [in their day] and we today while spreading the gospel. We will find God’s gifts which are hidden and will be revealed and awoken within us. Like anything which is important it usually is hidden right in plain view, we just don’t recognize it.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Be with us “Oh” Lord as we walk in your grace and protection. Strengthen and lift us up in your greatness. Place within us your understanding and patience that we might walk among the lost who ply to murder us. Brighten your light so it might shine far and deep into the darkness. Sharpen our words that they may form the Two-Edged sword we will need for spiritual battle. We ask all this in your name Yeshua, Amen, and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
God has revealed true wisdom by his Spirit. Here is a proof of the Divine authority of the Holy Scriptures, 2 Peter 1:21. In confirmation of the Divinity of the Holy Ghost, observe, he knows all things, and he searches all things, even the deep things of God. No one can understand the things of God, but his Holy Spirit, who is one with the Father and the Son, and who makes known Divine mysteries to his Assembly. This is the most explicit testimony, both to the real Godhead and the distinct person of the Holy Spirit.
The apostles were not guided by worldly principles. They had the revelation of those things from the Spirit of God and the saving impression of them from the same Spirit. These things they declared in plain, simple language, taught by the Holy Spirit, entirely different from the affected oratory or enticing words of man’s wisdom. The natural man, the wise man of the world, receives not the things of the Spirit of God.
The pride of carnal reasoning is really as much opposed to spirituality, as the basest sensuality. The pure mind discerns the real beauties of holiness, but the power of observing and judging about common and natural things is not lost. But the carnal man is a stranger to the principles, and pleasures, and actings of the Divine life. The spiritual man only is the person to whom God gives the knowledge of his will. How little is the person to whom God gives the knowledge of his will? How little have any known of the mind of God by natural power! And the apostles were enabled by his Spirit to make known his intention. In the Holy Scriptures, the soul of Yeshua, and the mind of God in Yeshua are entirely made known to us. It is the great privilege of Believers that they have the mind of Yeshua revealed to them by his Spirit. They experience his sanctifying power in their hearts and bring forth good fruits in their lives.
The apostle was a wise master-builder, but the grace of God made him such. Spiritual pride is abominable; it is using the most fabulous favors of God, to feed our own vanity, and make idols of ourselves. But let every man take heed; there may be a wrong building on a good foundation. Nothing must be laid upon it, but what the foundation will bear, and what is of a piece with it.
Let us not dare to join a merely human or a carnal life with a Divine faith, the corruption of sin with the profession of Believing. Yeshua is a firm, abiding, and immovable Rock of ages, every way able to bear all the weight that God himself or the sinner can lay upon him; neither is there salvation in any other. Leave out the doctrine of his atonement, and there is no foundation for our hopes. But of those who rest on this foundation, there are two sorts. Some hold nothing but the truth as it is in Yeshua, and preach nothing else. Others build on the excellent foundation what will not abide by the test when the day of the trial comes.
We may be mistaken in ourselves and others; but there is a day coming that will show our actions in the pure light, without covering or disguise. Those who spread true and genuine belief in all its branches, and whose work will abide in the great day, shall receive a reward. And how great! How much exceeding their deserts! There are others, whose corrupt opinions and doctrines, or vain inventions and usages in the worship of God, shall be made known, disowned, and rejected, in that day.
This is plainly meant of a figurative fire, not of a real one; for what real fire can consume Spiritual rites or doctrines? And it is to try every man’s works, those of Paul and Apollos, as well as others. Let us consider the tendency of our undertakings, compare them with God’s word, and judge ourselves, that we are not judged of the Lord.
Water is an emblem of the cleansing of our polluted souls from sin. But no water can do more than take away the filth of the flesh. Water seems, in general, the sacramental sign of the sanctifying influences of the Holy Ghost; yet this is always connected with the atoning blood of Yeshua. When the latter is applied by faith to the conscience, to cleanse it from evil works, the former is always applied to the powers of the soul, to purify it from the pollution of sin.
All that have an interest in the new covenant have a new heart and a new spirit, to their walking in newness of life. God would give a heart of flesh, a soft and tender heart, complying with his holy will. Renewing grace works as great a change in the soul, as turning a dead stone into living flesh. God will put his Spirit within, as a Teacher, Guide, and Sanctifier. The promise of God’s grace to fit us for our duty, should quicken our constant care and endeavor to complete our mission. These are promises to be pleaded by and will be fulfilled too, all true believers in every age.
CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth In the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth meditate, day and night. Psalms 1:1,2 Heavenly Father strengthen our desire to serve, fill our needs with determination as a feast from your table. Bring us into your light that we would observe and absorb from your greatness all needed to feed our spirit. We ask that your words will brighten our light and sharpen our two-edged swords. Bring us to an internal peace Lord that we might share in calmness as we go through the turmoils of this darkening world. We pray this in your name Yeshua, Amen and Amen.
CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert
It has been a fantastic part of my journey discovering so many of God’s gifts, which are becoming a part of my life, as I research and sound the Trumpet for all to hear. As the functions of those gifts begin to become spiritually and emotionally apparent, my personal and spiritual demeanor has become very visibly apparent and different. The hard-heartedness and callousness along with the anger they feed off of, have disappeared. This new image and the feelings which go with it will take time to become adjusted to. The aggressiveness and pushy attitude are gone, now I am fully comprehending being Born Again in the Spirit, and filled with His gifts.
Do we fully comprehend the depth of God’s gifts we receive through His mercies? When the Holy Spirit first presented this information, I did not realize the extent and how on a moment to moment basis our lives are affected by God’s Mercies. I recognized without His compassion and patience (Mercies) the world we walk in, could not and would not exist. To fully understand this I went to “Merriam Webster’s Dictionary,” and found the following definitions which shed a deeper understanding of how [I will] now perceive and interpret God’s Mercies, Love and the gifts attached to them.
Once I started the research into the first word it became clear there would be further definitions which overlap and support each other. The first being
“Mercy”: kind or forgiving treatment of someone who could be treated harshly: kindness or help given to people who are in a very bad or desperate situation.
Which then guided me to define “Mercies”: compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one’s power; also lenient or compassionate treatment. This, in turn, leads to defining restraint: The quality of someone who is patient and able to deal with a difficult person or situation without becoming angry. We are then shown to determine tolerance: Willingness to accept feeling, habits, or beliefs that are different from our own.
Amazingly, as darkness continues to fall on our world. We will witness more and more evil entering and manifesting before us. Those walking in the world
without having God‘s Spirit and gifts with them will not understand how evil is influencing their lives.
They will be as lost sheep wandering without a shepherd to protect and guide them as a flock. Mark 6:34 describes them as such and Yeshua having compassion, began teaching them many things.
We have this example before us through the Holy Spirit to recognize another of God’s gifts (compassion) released onto us who walk in Yeshua’s righteousness as Modern Day Disciples.
To better understand the depth of God’s gift of compassion the Holy Spirit reveals what Yeshua’s sacrifice replaced. He took from some callousness and Cold-heartedness, and from others hard-heartedness and heartlessness. What he returned was sympathy and the ability of feeling. In allowing us feeling, He gave us the ability to have sympathetic consciousness of other’s distress with a desire to alleviate it. Using 1John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s goods, and seeth his brother having a need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? The Holy Spirit reveals in this scripture how we might err spiritually and calls on us to fully know our position in “God’s, Grace.”
When we assess this walk what is found is a multitude of God’s hidden gifts. However, we must learn how to activate them and the proper time and place to use them. Since all wars and fightings come from the corruptions of our own hearts, it is right to mortify those lusts which war in the members. Worldly and fleshly lusts are distempers, which will not allow content or satisfaction. Sinful desires and affections stop prayer and the working of our desires toward God. And let us beware that we do not abuse or misuse the mercies received, by the disposition of the heart when prayers are granted. When men ask of God prosperity, they often ask with wrong aims and intentions. If we thus seek the things of this world, it is just in God to deny them. Unbelieving and cold desires, beg denials; and we may be sure that when prayers are rather the language of lusts than of graces, they will return empty. Here is a decided warning to avoid all criminal friendships with this world Worldly-mindedness is [enmity] to God. An enemy may be reconciled, but “enmity” can never be reconciled. A man may have a large portion in things of this life, and yet be kept in the love of God; but he who sets his heart upon the world, who will conform to it [rather than lose its friendship], is an enemy to God. So that anyone who resolves at all events to be upon friendly terms with the world, must be the enemy of God.
CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
As our relationship deepens, Father, we recognize your broadening of our minds, the filling of our soul with your Godly wisdom, discernment, sharpening of our Two-Edged Swords, increase in our nets and deepening of how far our light shines into the darkness of this world. We thank you, Father, for revealing those gifts which have been hidden. We thank you, Father, for our fleshly heart filled with your love and compassion, the lifting of those shadows which covered your gifts. It is with great humility we thank you Lord for removing our stony hearts and replacing them with a fleshly one. In all that you have done this day we give thanks in the name of Yeshua, Amen, and Amen
Praise God for us having some months ago heard His call to return to His law. Too sit down and do an assessment of our walk and relationship with His Son. Here we are now learning how to be, as Yeshua is with us, a silent companion. How many of you realize your words of prayer in support of your newly found convert will be answered as a blessing for both. Do you realize as you become the Shepherd you are still of our Lords flock and you’re being tended to as you go forward?
Get to know your peace and find the strength in it as your leading inspiration to serve. Because what I prayed for, you will find it is a gentle nudge by Yeshua, letting you know he’s there covering your back as your Silent Companion. James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Remember these articles are messages given unto a humble servant as a Watchmen sounding the Trumpet of impending danger ahead. May our Father abundantly fill your plates. God’s blessings Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hands. Psalm 149:6
