MY ONE MINUTE WITH YESHUA. AUGUST 10, 2021. “DO YOU BELIEVE YOU WILL NEVER DIE?”

John 11:25-26
[25]Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
[26]And whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

There is an impression just anybody can enter into heaven and continue with their eternal life; my research has unveiled of course we all know there is only one way into heaven and that is through our Lord Yeshua (Jesus Christ).

All true Christians are a chosen generation; they make one family, a people distinct from the world: of another spirit, principle, and practice; which they could never be, if they were not chosen in Christ to be such, and sanctified by his Spirit.

Our wisdom is to watch against the temptations, and to make use of the advantages of our natural tempers.

When we know not what in particular to ask or expect, let us refer ourselves to God; let him do as seems good. To enlarge Martha’s expectations, our Lord declared himself to be the Resurrection and the Life.

In every sense he is the Resurrection; the source, the substance, the first-fruits, the cause of it. The redeemed soul lives after death in happiness; and after the resurrection, both body and soul are kept from all evil for ever.

When we have read or heard the word of Christ, about the great things of the other world, we should put it to ourselves, Do we believe this truth? The crosses and comforts of our present time would not make such a deep impression as they do, if we believed the things of eternity as we should.

When Christ our Master comes, he calls for us. He comes in his word and ordinances, and calls us to them, calls us by them, calls us to himself. Those who, in a day of peace, set themselves at Christ’s feet to be taught by him, may with comfort, in a day of trouble, cast themselves at his feet, to find favour with him.

As Christ’s mercies are most valued by those who have felt the want of them, that have been blind, and now see; so the most powerful and lasting affections to Christ, arise from actual knowledge of him. In the work of grace in the soul, though we cannot tell when, and how, and by what steps the blessed change was wrought, yet we may take the comfort, if we can say, through grace, Whereas I was blind, now I see. I did live a worldly, sensual life, but, thanks be to God, it is now otherwise with me, Ephesians 5:8.

The unbelief of those who enjoy the means of knowledge and conviction, is indeed marvelous. All who have felt the power and grace of the Lord Jesus, wonder at the willfulness of others who reject him.

We may each of us know by this, whether we are of God or not. What do we? What do we for God? What do we for our souls? What do we more than others? In times of public calamity we fear for ourselves, for our families, and for our country!

We are favoured with the gospel, but it is treated with neglect or contempt. We need not wonder if it should be taken from us; to many persons this, though the heavies of calamities, would occasion no grief. There are multitudes whom any profession would please as well as that of Christianity.

But there are those who value the house, the word, and the ministry of God above their richest possessions, who dread the loss of these blessings more than death. How willing bad men are to shift off their convictions, and when they are in trouble, to believe it is a chance that happens; and that the rod has no voice which they should hear or heed!
