“NO HUMAN HEART CAN CONTAIN GOD’S LOVE!”

Luke 2:49
[49] And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

Young persons should seek the knowledge of Divine truth, attend the ministry of the gospel, and ask such questions of their elders and teachers as may tend to increase their knowledge.

Those who seek Christ in sorrow shall find him with greater joy. Know ye not that I ought to be in my Father’s house; at my Father’s work; I must be about my Father’s business. Herein is an example; for it becomes the children of God, in conformity to Christ, to attend their heavenly Father’s business, and make all other concerns give way to it.

Though he was the Son of God, yet he was subject to his earthly parents; how then will the foolish and weak sons of men answer it, who are disobedient to their parents? However we may neglect men’s sayings, because they are obscure, yet we must not think so of God’s sayings. That which at first is dark, may afterwards become plain and easy.

The greatest and wisest, those most eminent, may learn of this admirable and Divine Child, that it is the truest greatness of soul to know our own place and office; to deny ourselves amusements and pleasures not consistent with our state and calling.

Yeshua here shows that it will not be enough to own him for our Master, only in word and tongue. It is necessary to our happiness that we believe in Christ, that we repent of sin, that we live a holy life, that we love one another.

This is his will, even our sanctification. Let us take heed of resting in outward privileges and doings, lest we deceive ourselves, and perish eternally, as multitudes do, with a lie in our right hand. Let everyone that names the name of Christ, depart from all sin.

There are others, whose religion rests in bare hearing, and it goes no further; their heads are filled with empty notions. These two sorts of hearers are represented as two builders. This parable teaches us to hear and do the sayings of the Lord Jesus: some may seem hard to flesh and blood, but they must be done.

Christ is laid for a foundation, and everything besides Christ is sand. Some build their hopes upon worldly prosperity; others upon an outward profession of religion. Upon these they venture; but they are all sand, too weak to bear such a fabric as our hopes of heaven.

There is a storm coming that will try every man’s work. When God takes away the soul, where is the hope of the hypocrite? The house fell in the storm, when the builder had most need of it, and expected it would be a shelter to him. It fell when it was too late to build another.

May the Lord make us wise builders for eternity. Then nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ Jesus.

Our business should be to spread abroad Yeshua’s fame in every place, to beseech him in behalf of those diseased in body or mind, and to use our influence in bringing sinners to him, that his hands may be laid upon them for their healing.

He cast the devils out of many who were possessed. We were not sent into this world to live to ourselves only, but to glorify God, and to do good in our generation. The people sought him, and came unto him.

A desert is no desert, if we are with Yeshua there. He will continue with us, by his word and Spirit, and extend the same blessings to other nations, till, throughout the earth, the servants and worshippers of Satan are brought to acknowledge him as the Christ, the Son of God, and to find redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

Remember, these articles are from a devoted servant of Yeshua as a Watchman doing His bidding to deliver His warnings. May our Father be with you bless you as you go forward in His name. Go forward bravely but as wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove.
