And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree, which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Many today are suggesting supporting the veggies burger crowd, by putting ranchers out of business. Shame on you, all forms of food are given by our Lord as sustenance. They obviously do not realize our Lord has shown we can partake of all that our Father has cleansed: Acts 10:10-16 NKJV.
Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him, and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.
Strange how the enemy works using the same logic on the world as he used on Eve and then Adam. Satan’s plan was to draw our first parents to sin, and so to separate them and their God. Thus, the devil was from the beginning a murderer and the great mischief-maker. The person tempted was the woman: it was Satan’s policy to enter into talk with her when she was alone.
There are many temptations to which being alone gives great advantage, but the communion of saints tends very much to their strength and safety. Satan took advantage by finding her near the forbidden tree.
Satan tempted Eve, that by her he might tempt Adam. It is his policy to send temptations by hands we do not suspect, and by those that have most influence upon us. Satan questioned whether it was a sin or not, to eat of this tree. He did not disclose his design at first, but he put a question, which seemed innocent. Those who would be safe need to be shy of talking with the tempter. He quoted the command wrong. He spoke in a taunting way.
The devil, as he is a liar, so he is a scoffer from the beginning; and scoffers are his children. It is the craft of Satan to speak of the Divine law as uncertain or unreasonable, and so to draw people to sin; it is our wisdom to keep up a firm belief of God’s command, and a high, respect for it. Has God said, Ye, shall not lie, nor take his name in vain, nor be drunk, etc? Yes, I am sure he has, and it is well said; and by his grace, I will abide by it.
It was Eve’s weakness to enter into this talk with the serpent: she might have perceived by his question, that he had no good design, and should therefore have walked away.
Satan teaches men first to doubt, and then to deny. He promises advantage from their eating this fruit. He aims to make them discontented with their present state as if it were not so good as it might be, and should be. No condition will of itself bring content unless the mind, be brought to it. He tempts them to seek preferment as if they were fit to be gods.
Satan ruined himself by desiring to be like the Most-High, therefore he sought to infect our first parents with the same desire, that he might ruin them too. And draws people into his interest, by suggesting to them hard thoughts of God, and false hopes of advantage by sin. Let us, therefore, always think well of God as the best good, and think ill of sin as the worst evil: thus, let us resist the devil, and he will flee from us.
In our world today we have a movement funded and fostered by Bill Gates, George Soros and many who walk the path of ultimate power fueled by greed as Satan’s hence men delivering a message to the world to stop eating meat and if you do, you will save the world. Causing man to think in terms of being god-like and capable of saving the world by their actions change prophecy.
As a Watchman, I bring you this warning as given to Peter in his vision within Acts 10:15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”
In a world wrought with fear and confusion and abiding outside of God’s leading. Satan is able to use his taunting way, as a liar, as a scoffer is using, Bill Gates and George Soros as his scoffing children. They are using the crafts of Satan to speak of the Divine law as uncertain or unreasonable, and so draw people to sin. Many of the world like Eve do not have God’s wisdom to maintain a firm belief of God’s command or high respect for it. God said Ye shall not lie, nor take his name in vain, nor be drunk!
That is why we are hearing “don’t eat meat”, which God has declared as cleansed. To tell the world that God had directed those animals to be reckoned clean which are being declared by Satan’s scoffers as unclean is in effect saying, God has not cleansed them.
These men as scoffers speak in a taunting way. They mimic the devil, as a liar, as a scoffer from the beginning, and as his children. They like Satan speak of the Divine law as being uncertain, unreasonable, and draw people to sin out of ignorance to the wiles of their god (Satan), and leader.
We cannot hinder ungoverned tongues from speaking evil, but we must not give them any occasion. We must deny ourselves in many cases what we may lawfully do, when our doing it may hurt our good name. Our good often comes to be evil spoken of, because we use lawful things in an uncharitable and selfish manner. As we value the reputation of the good, we profess and practice, let us seek that it may not be evil spoken of.
There are cases wherein Christians might eat what has been offered to idols, without sin. Such as when the flesh was sold in the market as common food, for the priest to whom it had been given.
But a Christian must not merely consider what is lawful, but what is expedient, and to edify others. Christianity by no means forbids the common offices of kindness or allows uncourteous behaviour to any, however they may differ from us in religious sentiments or practices.
But this is not to be understood of religious festivals, partaking in idolatrous worship. According to this advice of the apostle, Christians should take care not to use their liberty to the hurt of others, or to their own reproach.
In eating and drinking, and in all we do, we should aim at the glory of God, at pleasing and honouring him. This is the great end of all religion and directs us where express rules are wanting. A holy, peaceable, and benevolent spirit, will disarm the greatest enemies.
False teachers are described. Faithful ministers must oppose such in good time, that their folly being made manifest, they may go no further They had a base end in what they did; serving a worldly interest under pretenses of religion: for the love of money is the root of all evil. Such should be resisted, and put to shame, by sound doctrine from the Scriptures
To those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; they abuse and turn things lawful and good into sin. Many profess to know God, yet in their lives deny and reject him. See the miserable state of hypocrites, such as have a form of godliness, but are without the power, yet let us not be so ready to fix this charge on others and be careful that it does not apply to ourselves.
We should all look to our hearts, that they may be cleansed and new-created, and while we attend to the important things of the law and of the gospel, we must not neglect the smallest matter God has appointed.
When any wait to catch something out of our mouths, that they may insnare us, O Lord, give us thy prudence and thy patience and disappoint their evil purposes. Furnish us with such meekness and patience that we may glory in reproaches, for Christ’s sake, and that thy Holy Spirit may rest upon us.
Many, for meat and drink, destroy the work of God in themselves; nothing more destroys the soul than pampering and pleasing the flesh, and fulfilling the lusts of it; so others are hurt, by willful offence given. Lawful things may be done unlawfully, by giving offence to brethren. This takes in all indifferent things, whereby a brother is drawn into sin or trouble; or has, his graces, his comforts, or his resolutions weakened. Hast thou faith?
It is meant of knowledge and clearness as to our Christian liberty. Enjoy the comfort of it, but do not trouble others by the wrong use of it. Nor may we act against a doubting conscience. How excellent are the blessings of Christ’s kingdom, which consists not in outward rites and ceremonies, but in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost!
How preferable is the service of God to all other services! and in serving him we are not called to live and die to ourselves, but unto Christ, whose we are, and whom we ought to serve.
Remember these articles are given as warnings from a humble servant as God’s Watchman bringing His warnings to the flock of impending dangers. I pray for all to be covered with Yeshua’s blessings. Be at peace and in faith as you journey forward doing God’s calling and work. “And many other signs truly did Yeshua in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book.“ John 20:30
