Luke 15:7 KJV
I say unto you, that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

Right now, our times are bringing us to assessing our walk, as it is with our Lord, or is it about our Lord? One of the things my wife Bunnie and I (Robert) use to understand who we are associating and walking with as believers, [not in a judgmental manner] is a simple test. In conversation, listening closely to the personal testimony of the spiritual changes in their lives. In an earlier message, we heard how within our assemblies, there are those who may only have a head knowledge of our Lord.

Spiros Zodhiates Th.D (1922 – 2009) brings forward an interesting point which I believe applies to this statement. “There is a category of people who would be confused with the true believers. These are those who appear to have been saved and be a child of God but have reverted to the world and continue in its ways. For instance, the phrase…” which when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe…” denotes a different meaning for the word “believe.” It should not be confused as the exercise of true faith in Yeshua (Jesus Christ) which transforms a person’s life. This “belief” is merely intellectual assent. Not simply giving reference to a repentant heart, but to an obedient heart toward God which causes them to do righteousness and to hate sin (Rom. 5:19). Those who have no deep roots are the ones who profess faith but do not possess Yeshua.

Let me be clear, if you are here, looking to have your ears tickled, you’re in the wrong place. Unless of course, you are tired of living an empty existence, being placated, and seen as merchandise. But are looking to learn how to have a personal relationship with Yeshua, then I pray, you will find what you’re seeking, through the messages offered here.

Some will question, how do you actually know the difference? How will you know there have been changes in the individual’s life? Earlier we had been shown what and how a dedicated believer will demonstrate as changes through their reconnection to God and personal walk with His Son Yeshua. As reconnected believers, we are directed on how to hear the word. Receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls, and bring God’s love and compassion into our lives.

(1) In hearing the word of God, we are to receive it, assent to the truths of it, consent to the laws of it, receive it as the stock does the graft so the fruit which is produced may be, not according to the nature of the sour stock, but according to the nature of that word of the gospel which is engrafted into our souls.

(2) We must, therefore, yield ourselves to the word of God, with most submissive, humble, and tractable tempers. This is to receive it with meekness. Being willing to hear of our faults, and taking it not only patiently, but thankfully, desiring also to be moulded and formed by the doctrines and precepts of the gospel.

(3) In all our hearing we should aim at the salvation of our souls. It is the design of the word of God to make us wise to salvation, and those who propose any meaner or lower ends to themselves in attending upon it dishonour the gospel and disappoint their souls. We should come to the word of God (both to read it and hear it), as those who know it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, Romans 1:16.

3. We are taught what is to be done after hearing (James 1:22): But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Observe: Hearing is to do the most attentive, and the most frequent hearing of the word of God will not avail us unless we are also doers of it.

For those wondering what we use to determine the spiritual change in the individual, the following changes are what we look for. It applies to those who succumb (Obedient Heart) to the following temptations. The sins they suffer with and need to be put off, or thrown aside, are,

(1) Malice, which may be taken more generally for all sorts of wickedness, as James 1:21; 1 Corinthians 5:8. But, in a more confined sense, malice is anger resting in the bosom of fools, settled overgrown anger, retained till it inflames a man to design mischief, to do mischief or delight in any mischief that befalls another

(2) Guile, or deceit in words. So it comprehends flattery, falsehood, and delusion, which is a crafty imposing upon another’s ignorance or weakness, to his damage

(3) Hypocrisies. The word being plural comprehends all sorts of hypocrisies. In matters of religion, hypocrisy is counterfeit piety. In civil conversation, hypocrisy is counterfeit friendship, which is much practised by those who give high compliments, which they do not believe, make promises which they never intend to perform or pretend friendship when mischief lies in their hearts.

(4) All envies; every thing that may be called envy, which is a grieving at the good and welfare of another, at their abilities, prosperity, fame, or successful labours.

(5) Evil speaking, which is detraction, speaking against another, or defaming him; it is rendered backbiting, 2 Corinthians 12:20; Romans 1:30.

I am asking the following on a secular level. Is there a difference between Coping and Dealing with life’s daily events? “I say Certainly there is!” But Why do the learned and highly developed secularists believe that coping and dealing can be or are one and the same?

To fully understand the message being shared in the following, recognize how a head knowledge of God’s laws would apply as Coping with life. When you analyze the word Coping, you quickly recognize it is a learned method of “passive submission.” Allowing those using this technique to subjectively justify events or occurrences affecting their lives and surroundings.

Through their knowledge of God’s teachings, it would give them a reason to accept into their being and ultimately their lives, a method to function unchallenged, no matter what the outcome may hold for them personally and especially spiritually.

Even to the point of creating a battle in their minds, whether their lifestyle as being morally acceptable & or unacceptable.  This leads to an individual, actually questioning the very foundation being used to support their moral stance and beliefs and using “passive submission” set aside these thoughts.

Ultimately what becomes the standard for Coping [is an Obedient heart, being head knowledge of God] and not taking responsibility for any action good or bad. Because I now can rationalize anything and everything in or around my being.

In comparison when we now have a personal relationship with Yeshua, when you analyze Dealing [Repentant Heart] you quickly realize this is not a form of passivity nor acceptance of rationalizations.

It becomes immediately apparent that to Deal with a situation, you must first obtain sound and accurate information (to receive it with meekness. Being willing to hear of our faults), some of which may not be pleasant,  a recognition of your sinful nature, (taking it not only patiently, but thankfully,) however, it must be accepted (desiring also to be moulded and formed by the doctrines and precepts of the gospel,)

Dealing means to face the circumstance or situation with all the information provided (in all our hearing we should aim at the salvation of our souls,) and take that part which it reveals as your involvement (it is the design of the word of God to make us wise to salvation). In other words, what you really are responsible for, or have caused to occur (the most frequent hearing of the word of God will not avail us unless we are also doers of it).

Dealing means to come to a complete and final conclusion where you are done and move forward in stature (We should come to the word of God [both to read it and hear it], as those who know it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, Romans 1:16.). Dealing with a situation eliminates excuses and brings personal responsibility to the forefront (be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.).

Dealing charges us with accountability and becomes the foundation for truth which then anchors, “integrity,” in our lives giving us a clear view of a stable “spiritual life, (a personal relationship with Yeshua (Jesus Christ).

So, in conclusion, the choice is yours to define if you’re going to COPE with life (with an Obedient Heart) or face it head-on and DEAL (with a Repentant Heart) through the events which daily present themselves.

Christians must please their brethren. The design of Christianity is to soften and meeken the spirit, to teach us the art of obliging and true compliance not to be servants to the lust of any, but to the necessities and infirmities of our brethren to comply with all that we have to do with as fare, as we can with a good conscience.

Christians should study to be pleasing. As we must not please ourselves in the use of our Christian liberty (which was allowed us, not for our own pleasure,) but for the glory of God and the profit and edification of others, so we must please our neighbour.

Please Note: the following declaration in regards to the material being published and provided on the “TRUMPETER’S CALL” site is provided in an as accurate manner without any compromise. It is not intended to offend, however stands as provided and for some may offend. And as such we suggest an analysis of your walk may be required. whether you are Dealing or Coping.
