Many have a difficult time recognizing a deep fervent walk, most believers they encounter walk with the Lord at what levels of faith they are comfortable with.
Our times today will and are challenging this style of walk as it is frought with weakness, and some extremely uncomfortable times for many within this walk, lie ahead.
Most are not familiar of having to deal with life through and in faith. They recognize it as their doorway into Salvation their new born spirit, the connection to the Holy Spirit and our Father in Heaven.
Some recognize their faith is the door to the provision of jobs, clothing, food, and residence.
They maintain a substantial list of don’t dos for this or that, but an extremely limited list of achievements. Their lives are dedicated in service of God the Father, Son Yeshua and Holy Spirit being the core of their faith, relationships and beliefs. Many will declare like Peter Matthew 26:33 KJV
Peter answered and said unto him, though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
The first question comes because this declaration is based on what these individuals like Peter fully believed in their minds, their devotion and dedication were deep and sincere. They are living in and with faith, which is true, however very shallow and without any substantial spiritual influence or power.
If in any spiritual way, Satan presents a challenge of mortality; in the majority of today’s believers, their faith would quickly turn to the world’s wisdom, sadly, granting permission for the temple to be attacked, instead of God’s power over sin, the basis for all infirmities in one’s life, to be applied. Instead of claiming the promises of health and long life. The amount of fear Satan’s lie presents would cancel any seed of faith.
When we look at the character and history of these individuals there is no reason to doubt sincerity. Now like Peter what the Lord stated in Matthew 26:34 KJV
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
As well applies to those I previously described. People will say how can you say that you don’t know their relationship with Yeshua. You’re right, I don’t, but I will divulge how I know.
Living in faith, not just with faith, cannot nor does it abide in the minds of God’s children. Faith functions directly from the heart of a believer who abides in God. Some will say you’re playing semantics with our words.
There is a simple scriptural answer Mark 12:33 KJV
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
The significance of this looms huge when we now look at Peter’s inability to keep his promise, no more can the others in the future as well.
Exercising faith takes everything described in the first commandment to live it, to actually exercise it spiritually. For faith to fully function in our lives we must bring it alive first in our hearts, knowing that its power comes through our 100% love for God. With our ability to use the discernment the Holy Spirit has provided, we, through understanding and knowledge garnered, should use it as spiritual wisdom to make sound decisions and set aside all of Satan’s lies, knowing and trusting God does not lie and knows what’s best for us.
Now, we can place our lives in His hands, understanding our fate has always laid solely with Him and accepting, God’s choice for our future. This is a difficult decision at first to make and then continue with that choice.
When we discern Peter’s choice in denying knowing Christ, it is clear this decision came from his mind in order to preserve the body from persecution and sudden death. The same choice many today make when they opt to choose worldly wisdom when faced with temple issue regarding their mortality.
How do I know that would be the answer for those today faced with making a choice to live in faith and have God deal with our trials and tribulations. That answer is easy most if not nearly most already have chosen their path, trusting in Man’s wisdom to preserve their life. Trusting another lie man’s wisdom holds answers and God is working with the Doctors. Remember Satan is subtle.
It takes dedication to actually stop talking about living your faith, and actually confront Satan’s lies the solutions of the world are better than God’s.
To do the last part of the first commandment with all our strength. Because I can testify, Satan challenged me with a situation involving my mortality which measured every ounce of my love and faith for God and Yeshua, to state, Lord if it be your will, and in my heart mean it knowing one iota of doubt it was over, I then spiritually let go of what I believed I had control over, trusting I chose right, turned it over to God and have not looked back, as He has placed me in the hands of his angels. Knowing that once there it will be my position until I enter Eternity, as long as I abide in Him.
11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
My tool at that time to overcome Satan’s lies was remembering a promise if I submitted and called out to God.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
God at that moment honored His promise if I called out He would provide me with a long life, because of my faith nothing else. Sure I have my daily trials and tribulations, they provide a deepening of my faith and broading of my Trust.
More than that I have stopped just talking about faith and am now daily living it, learning that actually living in Faith, is not living with what the world provides, but what Yeshua offers and being humbly grateful appreciative and very thankful.
May our Father and Yeshua bless you with their Grace and Peace.
